Hi! I'm Dee Dee

Let me tell you about the moment I realized I wanted to become a hairstylist. It happened in Juarez where I grew up, around 15-16 years old, giving myself choppy razor layers in front of my vanity mirror trying to channel my inner Siouxsie Sioux. I thought, hey this is fun! Could I actually make this my job?

I remember the first time I walked in to a salon that wasn't a Super Cortes and absolutely loving the smell of fancy oils, freshly blow dried hair combined with a toasty flat iron. ​

I went to cosmetology school in El Paso, straight out of high school and earned my license at 19 in 2009 . Even though it's been quite some time, I can honestly say I am more passionate about this career today than I have ever been. 

Education is one of the keys components of my longevity in this industry. I am constantly seeking out new classes, techniques, and inspiration to stay sharp, current, and genuinely excited about what I do.

This craft is a lifelong pursuit and I am so grateful for these years and so excited for what's ahead.

Beyond the hair my favorite part of this craft is the connection, the conversations, the trust, the moment a client looks in the mirror and lights up. When I hear the words "This is exactly what I wanted", that means the world to me!
